Our Approach

What We Do

Grand Consulting helps private partners develop and operate community sports facilities through privately financed public-private partnership models. Our role is to validate the opportunity, structure the real estate and municipal strategy, prepare the investor and stakeholder case, and support execution through development, launch, and long-term operations.

Validate the Opportunity

Market demand, site fit, competition, user groups, cost assumptions, and feasibility.

Structure the Partnership

Public-private strategy, municipal presentation, land use, approvals, public benefit, and stakeholder alignment.

Prepare for Capital

Financial model, investor summary, capital stack, risk framing, and business plan.

Support Operations & Growth

Launch planning, staffing, programming, marketing, sponsorship, technology, AI-enabled workflows, reporting, and scalable growth.

Not sure if your project is ready? Start with a Discovery Workshop or Opportunity Review.

Our Clients

Who We Serve

We support the same broad client universe as leading national sports facility advisors, operators, and consulting firms — with a more focused, flexible, real estate-driven, and execution-oriented model.

Private Developers & Real Estate Sponsors

We help developers evaluate whether a sports facility project is realistic, financeable, market-supported, and worth pursuing.

Rink Owners, Facility Owners & Operators

We help existing and future operators expand, reposition, improve, launch, or partner with municipalities.

Investors, Capital Partners & Private Equity

We help investors understand the real estate, operating, community, financial, and risk case behind a sports facility project.

Municipalities & Government Entities

We help public-sector stakeholders evaluate community benefit, economic impact, PPP structures, and privately financed models.

Economic Development & Tourism Agencies

We help agencies evaluate how sports, recreation, and event facilities can support visitation, local spending, and community revitalization.

Educational Institutions

We help schools, colleges, universities, and campus leaders evaluate athletic, recreation, wellness, and multi-use facility opportunities.

Nonprofit Organizations

We help nonprofits structure mission-aligned facilities that serve the community while creating sustainable revenue and partnerships.

Teams, Clubs, Leagues & Youth Sports

We help teams, clubs, leagues, and youth organizations explore facilities for training, tournaments, camps, and long-term growth.

Sports & Entertainment Venue Sponsors

We support projects involving sports venues, wellness spaces, performing arts, entertainment assets, and mixed-use community destinations.

Landowners & Redevelopment Groups

We help landowners evaluate whether underused land can be transformed into sports, recreation, or community assets.

Public-Private Partnership Sponsors

We help sponsors combine private capital, operating expertise, municipal support, and community benefit under a structured PPP model.

Family Enterprises & Private Companies

We help private business owners evaluate sports facility investments, expansion, operations, risk, technology, and growth strategy.

If you have land, an operating facility, a project concept, or a community need, Grand Consulting can help determine the right path forward.

The Challenge

Most Projects Do Not Fail From Lack of Interest — They Fail From Lack of Alignment

Sports facility projects are high-value opportunities, but they can derail quickly when feasibility, capital, municipal support, operations, and execution are not coordinated.

Feasibility Risk

Is there enough demand? Are assumptions realistic? Does the location make sense?

Capital Risk

Can the project attract investors, lenders, sponsors, or private capital?

Municipal Risk

Can the project gain support without requiring direct municipal funding?

Operating Risk

Can the facility generate consistent utilization, programming, revenue, and retention?

Execution Risk

Can the project move through design, approvals, vendors, construction, launch, and management?

The question clients are quietly asking:

"How do we know this will work before we commit capital, public support, political credibility, land, or reputation?"

Grand Consulting helps answer that question with a process that is market-tested, real-estate-informed, municipality-ready, investor-ready, and operations-ready.

Have a project in mind? Let's talk.

Our Approach to Conversations

Lead With Diagnosis, Not Pressure

A calm, question-led approach helps the client discover the gap between where the project is today and what must be true for it to move forward.

Problem Awareness

"What has made this project difficult to move forward so far?"

Consequence

"If nothing changes, what happens to the land, users, capital, or community opportunity?"

Decision Criteria

"What would you need to see to feel confident enough to support the next step?"

Funding Reality

"How important is it that the structure limits or avoids direct municipal capital?"

Risk Awareness

"What concerns would investors, lenders, or municipal stakeholders likely raise?"

Fit Question

"Would it make sense to first pressure-test the project before anyone makes a larger commitment?"

The objective is not to convince. The objective is to help the client clearly see the risk of staying unclear.
